Saint's Pantry Food Bank
For over 30 years, Shelton has faithfully and generously supported the food bank through donations of food and money from individuals, businesses, service organizations, churches, schools, and state and local government agencies.
Founded in 1981, the mission of The Saints’ Pantry is to provide food, on an emergency basis, to our neighbors in need, through the wise stewardship of God’s bounty. The Saints' Pantry Food Bank is truly a community effort, made possible by our wonderful volunteers and donations from our neighbors and local churches, businesses, and service organizations. Through 2017 the pantry has served over 12,000 families (comprised of 40,095 individuals), receiving 438,000+ pounds of food. Hunger in Mason County is a growing problem due to the high rate of unemployment, and every week an average of 153 new families sign up to begin receiving food. Your help is necessary to do the work we do in these continuing uncertain economic times |
